Tabore Mar Thoma Church, Manchester, U.K. is one of the newer parishes formed in 2007 in England under the Diocese of North America and Europe of the Mar Thoma Church. Though the church is situated in the city of Manchester, it provides pastoral care to it’s members who live all across the north-west region of England which include towns like Manchester, Stockport, Ashton-u-Lyne, Oldham, Bolton, Wigan, Leigh, Blackburn, Preston, Blackpool, Sheffield, Stoke-on-Trent, Hull, Scarborough and Grimsby. Apart from regular worship services on Sundays, the Sunday School classes are held every Sunday. In these classes children between the age of 4 to 16 years get a first hand chance to learn and explore the word of God. Cottage prayer meetings are held on Saturdays in the Greater Manchester area, once every fortnight in the Blackburn and once a month in Stoke-on-Trent, Sheffield and Preston areas of the prayer group. These prayer meetings provide us with an opportunity to dedicate some time for bible study and intercessory prayers. As an ongoing endeavour to reach out to our members in far stretched areas of North West England, we celebrate Holy Communion Services in areas outside Greater Manchester through the Outreach Service programme. The spiritually youthful Tabore Mar Thoma Church invites every Christian believer in the North West region of England to come and share the fellowship with our Lord and Saviour. |
